The School Located in the very heart of the university city of Oxford, OSE (Oxford School of English) provides high-quality courses in English language and associated examinations, while their Oxford OSE Academy offers A Levels and pre-university preparation courses for 16 – 18 year-olds. OSE (Oxford School of English) is accredited by the ISI and the British Council.
Their 2-week University Summer Courses 2018 on the Oxford University campus include Medical Biology, Law, Philosophy, Politics and Business and are for students aged 16-18.
All summer course teaching and accommodation is in the University of Oxford, so you will live and study in an Oxford University college, just like an Oxford University undergraduate. Their summer courses employ the unique Oxford and Cambridge University system of small-group teaching. The tightly-packed schedule also includes university-style lectures, dynamic skill-building workshops, and an exciting social and cultural activities programme.
This is your opportunity to discover more about yourself, to experience life as an Oxford University student, and to develop skills you may never have known you possess! Our General English and Intensive English courses are designed to help students make rapid progress in English, and focus on the four key language skills – reading, writing, listening and speaking – with lots of additional work on vocabulary, grammar and pronunciation.
The courses are 15 hours per week, 20 hours per week or 30 hours per week*.
*Academic hours: each academic hour = 50 minutes class time

There are progress tests for all students every two weeks, enabling their teachers to closely monitor learning and to guide and support each student more effectively. There are also fortnightly tutorials, during which individual learning targets are discussed and reviewed.

Their students make lifelong friends from all over the world, learn about other cultures, receive invitations to visit countries they’ve never been to before and, best of all, get lots of practice in listening and speaking English!

Their Junior Summer School provides a memorable experience for students from all over the world, blending first-class English language tuition with masses of fun in a unique environment.
Now in its fifteenth year the Summer School has been hugely successful, gaining an international reputation and each year attracting hundreds of students from across the world.
Their team of teachers are all qualified native-speakers who are experienced in teaching junior and follow a dynamic and interactive course.
Students are aged 12-17 and come to us either as part of a group or individually. Once here, they soon make friends with other students from the very diverse range of nationalities that visit us each year.
In 2017 we welcomed students from over 30 different countries and we’re hoping for even more in 2018.

The Junior Summer School is rightly proud of its expertise in safeguarding children. We attach great importance to providing a safe, friendly and stimulating learning environment for their students. At every stage of their stay - from accommodation to classroom to evening activities - the well-being of students is their highest priority. They are British Council accredited which means the school has been recognised for their provisions in this regard.
They offer international classes at all levels from Elementary to Advanced in General English and also specialised courses for focussing on University Preparation, Exam Preparation (IELTS and Trinity) and English for Academic Purposes (EAP).
Homestay accommodation is carefully selected in safe neighbourhoods with experienced host families, the majority of whom they work with all year round and have worked with for many years. The school also offers residential accommodation in single en-suite rooms at Clive Booth Student Village, part of Oxford Brookes University.
Their spacious campus is at the City of Oxford College, right in the heart of the city centre, close to Oxford's most famous cultural attractions such as Christ Church College and the Ashmolean Museum. With its rich history of education, Oxford is the perfect place for your summer course!
Their 2-week teacher refresher courses are for overseas teachers of English who would like to update their knowledge of methodology and teaching materials, and to broaden the student’s linguistic and cultural awareness.
The course explores recent and current theory and practice, focusing on methodology, materials and advanced language analysis. It also includes a range of social and cultural activities. The training style is interactive, with workshops as well as presentations, and intended to promote discussion.
This course is aimed at non-native speakers who have experience of teaching English and hold a teaching qualification from their own country.
