The school welcomes international adult students to Loxdale all year round and they have special programmes during January and February and the summer for young learners. Closed courses for adults and young learners are also accepted at any time out of the summer period.

Facilities
The School is housed in a beautiful, traditional English Victorian mansion and is surrounded by large gardens and trees. They have superior on-site facilities including 16 classrooms, a library, a self-study room with timetabled teacher led sessions, free wi-fi, computer room, a dining room providing hot food, snacks and drinks, a sports hall, table tennis room, large gardens and 3 pianos for students to use. There is also a student social room that is open each day and most evenings where students can relax, socialise, play sports, watch films, play on the Wii or Play Station 3, study and cook.
Location
Loxdale is located in Portslade which is a residential suburb of Brighton & Hove. Their School is just a 20 minute bus journey from the centre of Brighton, one of Britain’s most vibrant, exciting and culturally diverse cities in the UK for students. They have great transport links via both bus and train and they are just one hour away from central London by train. All of their host families are regularly visited and are on regular bus routes within a 25 minute walk of the School.

– to ensure you become confident in speaking English. With an excellent location, students come from all over world to join their courses.
English Lessons

– from beginner English to Advanced English. Their class sizes ensure that you’ll get individual attention and expert tuition when you study English with them.
During your lessons you will focus upon improving your English in all the key skill areas of speaking, reading, writing, listening and of course grammar. Their wonderful teachers make sure that you work hard in class, learn a lot during your time at Loxdale and have fun!
During your lessons you will also have the opportunity to learn a little more about the UK. Each week students have lessons which explore British Culture looking at topics such as British festivals, education, food and local history. You will also learn about the places you will be visiting during your weekend trips.
Social Activities
At Loxdale they offer an exciting programme of afternoon and evening social activities to their young learners. You will also enjoy two trips every weekend to places such as London, Bath, Portsmouth, Oxford, Cambridge and Windsor. There really is something for everyone.
Welfare

Winter Young Learner Course For Teenagers (12-17years)
Their popular International Winter Young Learner course is perfect for teens aged between 13 and 17 years old. 12 year olds are able to join their course if their parents will allow them to walk to and from school on their own. It is designed to be interactive and enjoyable – to ensure you become confident in speaking English.
The school provides a safe, well-structured and lively environment where there is plenty of laughter and fun and can guarantee that teenagers really will have wonderful time!

When you don’t have lessons you can choose from different activities such as singing lessons, cake decorating, cookery, art, films, board games and sports including football, volleyball, badminton and table tennis. There are also visits to the Royal Pavilion, Sealife Centre, the Marina, the beach and local museums for you to enjoy.
And there’s loads to do in the evenings. With quizzes, sports, team games, films, social evenings, bowling, cinema, karaoke, talent shows, barbecues and many more.
