The Linguaviva Centre is the oldest English Language School based in Dublin.  We have been teaching English to foreign students since 1977 and pride ourselves on being one of Ireland’s most reputable English Schools.  In our school our focus is on quality and ensuring that every single student feels like part of “The Linguaviva Family”.  We do this by ensuring that each student is happy with every aspect of their stay on a day to day basis, not just when they arrive.  Linguaviva is one of the founding members of Marketing English in Ireland (MEI) and we are the longest standing member school of Quality English based in Dublin.

We have recently undergone some major renovations including new carpets, new furniture, new lighting, new heating, sound insulation, freshly painted and decorated rooms throughout the building and last but certainly not least new Interactive Whiteboards in classrooms.  All of our Academic Staff have undergone extensive training and we feel the addition of more audio / visual material and Interactive teaching methods will greatly enhance the students learning experience.  We have already received phenomenal feedback from students since their introduction

We have a vast array of facilities in our school including a Library, fully equipped Computer Room with high speed broadband along with WiFi throughout the entire building, Student Lounge, Games Room, Student Garden, Media Rooms for Students and so much more!

We also now have a cinema section showing popular International TV programmes during breaks and a different genre movie each afternoon.  Students are advised and welcome to stay in the school during their free time to take advantage of all the excellent facilities on offer!

Linguaviva Au Pair

Au Pair Family Information – Fantastic Au-Pairs from Italy, France, Spain, Germany and Switzerland available all year round

Linguaviva has been placing au-pairs will families in Dublin for several years now.  A caring placement service is provided for youths aged between 18 and 25.  Au pairs will have pre intermediate level English and a minimum of basic conversation skills together with some experience of minding children.  Au pairs are carefully matched with families who require help with children and housework.

Au pairs come to school in Linguaviva and can also benefit from all the school facilities as well as a special rate for classes. Linguaviva’s au pair co-ordinator will look after any problems that may arise and give advice to both au pairs and families in this regard.

EU au pairs are not required to be on duty for more than 35 hours per week excluding evening baby-sitting, which is a maximum of two nights.

EU au pairs must have two fixed half days Tuesday & Thursday when they attend English classes in the afternoons and socialise in the evenings with fellow au-pairs.

Our very own au pair coordinator is always on hand to assist families not only with the placement of au pairs but also to help with any issues that may be encountered.
